Monday Mems #1: Delivery

In the midst of yet another chaotic Holiday Season, Rigo (owner of RB Construction) received a call from a client. With audible stress, the client explained that the only refrigerator in his Bodega Bay vacation home has stopped working and if he failed to replace it, all of the food he bought for the holidays would go rotten. The client asked Rigo if he could stop by an appliance store, pick-up a brand new Frigidaire Stainless Steel Refrigerator, deliver it, install it, and dispose of the bad one. Being as that Rigo is a General Contractor (not an appliance delivery-man), the vacation home is about an hour drive, and it was a rainy winter day, one could wonder, "why would Rigo agree to do this?" The reason why Rigo ultimately did agree to do this was quite simple. Rigo had a long-standing relationship with this client as he had done various projects for this client in the past. He had restored the exterior of his vacation home by replacing the siding and re-painting the home. Another time, he built a completely weatherproof outdoor deck that attached to the back of the home and created a stone pathway that connected the front of the home to the back yard. Rigo once completely re-modeled his kitchen and another time, replaced old flooring with beautiful hardwood flooring. While Rigo is not a delivery-man, he is a man who delivers. Over the span of about 12 years, Rigo has surpassed this clients' expectations with each an every project. And in return, Rigo earned his loyalty, his trust, and his friendship. So, when Rigo was asked to deliver a refrigerator one rainy Holiday Season day, he did just that; he delivered.
