Mi Ranchito Kitchen Expansion (In Progress)

Here, alongside with occasional Instagram posts, is where you’ll find updates on our Mi Ranchito Kitchen Expansion Project. Mi Ranchito is a beloved Mexican restaurant in Cotati, CA. They contracted us to remodel and extend their industrial kitchen to better accommodate their needs as a restaurant.

This was day one. Today we focused mainly on clearing the space where work was going to be done. This was behind the restaurant and where the kitchen will be extended into. Quite tedious, yet important work.

The video above needs little to no explaining; we started digging on this day.

This day was the day we installed rebar. Rebar serves a very important role in the reinforcement and strengthening of a foundation. Specifically, rebar provides the concrete with the stability and structure it will need to ultimately be the foundation of a building or structure. Coming up next will be pouring the concrete.

Hooray for Foundation!

Today, we poured cement to complete the foundation for the additional kitchen space that we are going to build. Next on our to do list is building the frame!

Here are some more photos from the framing days!

The walls have come up! We’re slowly starting to see the finish line.
