Insane Windsor Bedroom Remodel

This is where it started. As you can see below, this bedroom was in desperate need of a makeover. What you can’t see in this photo is an attached bedroom that our clients wanted us to convert into a spacious walk-in closet.

Here is a breakdown of the project:

1. Paint the entire room.

2. Add remote controllable skylights to the ceiling.

3. Demo light fixtures and replace with new.

4. Remove old closet and enclose the wall.

5. Convert attached bedroom into walk-in closet and build out the closet.

6. Install new flooring.

Here is the aforementioned bedroom which will soon begin to look like a walk-in closet.

This space is perfect for a walk-in closet but did not serve too well as an extra bedroom.

Skylights Installed.

Here is an early look at what the newly installed skylights look like.

Fun Fact: These skylights are fully remote controllable and are retrofitted with electric motors that allow them to fully open allowing for increased air circulation into the room.

First Coat of Paint.

With the first coat of paint on the walls, it’s obvious that painting alone can completely change the feel of a space. Our clients opted for an off white color which completely complements the vision for their dream room. The paint also allows for a more smooth transition from main bedroom to walk-in closet.

Below you see the second coat of paint being sprayed on. The room gets closer to a finished product day by day.

In the video below, we have progressed a whole lot. Lighting fixtures as well as other fixtures are installed. Additionally, the framing around the skylights is installed and the wall mounted remote system is complete.

Below you will see the custom shelving unit that is being custom built out in the walk in closet.

With the shelving unit complete, one can begin to see how this once-upon a time room is becoming a beuatiful walk in closet.
